Who will be taking my photo?
👋 Hi I’m Jenny Berggren, Lansing-based photographer and small biz owner. You might know me from around DO&Co as Sara’s partner. I’m also the photographer behind ANC/DO&Co's photos!
My favorite thing about my photography isn't just how it looks in images, it's that I've found ways over the years to help you to feel comfortable doing something that is normally quite awkward. I will make sure you look and feel as good as possible while getting your picture taken.

What backdrop will these photos have?
We can use the bookstore, community board, and we’re bringing a paper backdrop option as well for a classic headshot look.
What should I wear?
Choose an outfit that feels the most like yourself. Try it on beforehand and see how it feels.
Things to consider: solid black or solid white can show up strongly on photo-they absorb and reflect light respectively.
Please only bring one outfit due to time constraints. However, a jacket, over shirt, or hat can add variation in your photos and make for a quick swap.
How much time do we have for photos?
Timeslots will range from about 10-20 minutes. You won’t be rushed, and I will be sure you have a few great images we’re confident with.
How do I get the photos afterward?
We’ll get your email address and send you a digital album to your inbox in about 2-3 weeks.
What can I use these photos for?
These are a mix of professional and personal. Update your LinkedIn, website, dating profiles, social media posts, self-promotion, whatever!
It's okay to get photos for yourself and not share them if you don’t want to!
I’m awkward on camera, help!
Bodies can be awkward, especially on camera. A camera doesn't understand depth the same way the human eye does.
I will guide you through posing with direction and care.
If you didn't like your last portrait or headshot, this is a low stakes way to try again.
Can I edit the photos after?
Please don’t retouch or edit. Cropping is fine, and you’re welcome ask for edits if you’re unsure or need some minimal retouching.
What is sliding scale pricing?
If your budget doesn't allow for the recommended cost, we still want to photograph you.
You can choose from $0, $30, $50, $75 or more if you have it to offer. You can write in your own price on the registration link.
I also accept trinkets, trade offers, or handwritten thank you notes!
Payments are due before or on Portrait Day.
Do I have to register?
If you know you are coming, please use the link to register, it helps us plan and accept payments ahead of time. Registration is not required. You can show-up day of. You do not reserve a time slot, photos will be taken on a first come, first served basis.
